Hi, I'm Byron.

I believe that nature is beautiful in every intricate detail – from the bark of a scribbly gum tree to the illuminating glowworm. Nature never gets design wrong and every detail is important, no matter how small.

As a graphic and digital media designer and a hobby photographer, I find inspiration from these intricacies. I seek out the unique details in ideas and translate them into an enlightening and fresh design that harmonises with a client’s brand and perspective.

Let me shed some light on why I do what I do.

Who am I

“A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are built for.”
William G.T. Shedd.

My name is Byron Carr and I am a graphic and digital media designer based in Canberra, Australia. I am a sucker for anything that is well designed and I believe in broadening my horizons through the inspiration that the world can bring us.

Travelling and photography has brought a unique perspective to my design work, and I am a nature enthusiast who loves hiking and getting the best out of life through fitness and delicious vegan food.

I love dogs, and I volunteer my design skills for the ACT Rescue and Foster organisation – a local fostering program for dogs in the Canberra and surrounding area.

I’m also a big fan of long walks on the beach.

What I do

My work as a graphic and digital media designer encompasses many different mediums (in both print and digital spaces), as well as creating and editing photographic assets through my experience as a hobby photographer.

My professionalism and extensive experience means that I am always pointing true north when it comes to current design trends and industry advancements, and I always ensure that I am up to date on regular training.

But just in case you need some official qualifications to be your guide, I do hold a Bachelor of Graphic Design from the University of Canberra (2013), and an Advanced Diploma of Digital Media from the Canberra Institute of Technology (2011).

My work

I’ve talked the talk, and now it’s time to walk the walk. These are some of my favourite projects that I have worked on and have designed. If you would like to see more of my projects, please contact me and I will be happy to walk you through them.

I hope this has shined a light on who I am and the work that I do as a graphic and digital media designer. If you would like more information on my resume or other items from my portfolio, or would like to meet up and talk illuminating ideas, I love coffee.

Drop me a line below and let’s get caffeinated.
